As a Graduate Development Engineer, you’ll be joining our Technology & Operations (T&O) team, the powerhouse for the Bank. We aim to go further, faster, to ensure we're agile and ready for tomorrow, today. Our diverse network enables us to innovate and build banking solutions that support communities to prosper. We're a place where talented people are encouraged to grow, learn, and thrive, to drive their own career journeys, to reach their full potential.

You will be supported and launched into your career through our hands-on graduate programme. During this time, you’ll meet peers and senior executives from across the Group, creating networks that will accelerate your career growth. Our training programme will enable you to develop your technical, business, and interpersonal skills through real-world experience and in depth training. Future skill development is a key priority for the Bank, and by investing in our Early Careers programmes, we're committed to changing the way banking works for the better.

Your programme starts with a 8 week Technical Bootcamp that will equip you with the necessary skills and understanding of technology architecture, programming languages, and how banking solutions can be rapidly designed and delivered.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in project initiatives using J2EE based web applications (Spring boot, JPA, JSP, JSTL, XSLT, Servlet, JDBC, JMS, JAXB, Hibernate) and Web security.
Knowledge on Web Services standards and technologies (e.g., SOA, XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, JSON, JSON API)
Linux/UNIX knowledge
Experienced in databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Understand Software Development Lifecycle and/or Agile Delivery Approach.

Requirements:

We welcome students from Engineering degrees with excellent academic records and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.

You’ll be a final year student, able to start July 2025, with the permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to.

We’re looking for team players who are agile, flexible, multi-tasking and open to learning the latest tech stack.
