As a Research Specialist (Economics-focus), you will :
analyse key high-frequency economic indicators of selected countries to identify turning points and emerging risks;
develop economic forecasts and long-term projections to inform asset allocation and thematic positioning;
conduct timely and critical analysis of major economic issues — including monetary and fiscal policy shifts, trade tensions, institutional reforms and geopolitical developments — at both local and global levels;
undertake comprehensive industry and country-level research to understand transmission mechanisms, second-order effects and investment implications; and
generate original, evidence-based investment ideas grounded in macroeconomic reasoning and empirical validation.
Requirements:
Apart from strong economic and analytical skills, you must possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Economics. Candidates with a strong Bachelor’s degree (First Class Honours or CGPA 3.8/4.0) and demonstrable research aptitude may also be considered.
Strong capacity for critical thinking — able to assess model assumptions, data limitations and policy trade-offs beyond headline indicators.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, concise and well-structured analytical outputs for investment decision-makers.
Intellectual rigour, adaptability and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
