Role Summary
The Data & Systems Intern will support the Technology department by focusing on the technical processing of site data and the development of analytical workflows. This role emphasizes data manipulation, spatial mapping, and the implementation of automated solutions to enhance operational insights of tower and other sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Spatial Mapping
• Data Transformation: Clean, process, and analyze large datasets generated from drone missions to support operational decision-making.

• Visual Reporting: Create intuitive 2D/3D maps and visual dashboards that translate complex imaging and geospatial data into actionable reports for management.

• Spatial Processing: Utilize Python scripting to automate workflows within QGIS and other mapping software for processing plantation imagery.

• Integrity: Maintain high standards of data accuracy and ensure that spatial datasets are organized and accessible for internal stakeholders.

Technical Support & AI Initiatives
• Python Development: Write and maintain Python scripts to streamline data extraction, imagery processing, and task automation.

• AI Integration: Assist in testing and implementing AI-driven tools (e.g., object detection algorithms) to improve the efficiency of plantation monitoring.

• System Support: Provide technical assistance for specialized software applications used within the department, ensuring tools are configured for optimal performance.

• Documentation: Document coding workflows, data processes, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering (Civil, Geomatic, or Electrical), or a related quantitative field.

Skills & Competencies:

• Programming: Proficient in Python for data manipulation and automation.

• Geospatial Tools: Familiarity with QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar mapping/photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, DroneDeploy).

• Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and logical mindset with an ability to manage and interpret complex datasets.

• Technical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot software-related issues and learn new technologies rapidly.

• Communication: Ability to present technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
