Job Description
The role is suitable for students that want to explore the AI industry and learn how AI is applied for practical commercial outcomes and be exposed to how AI can be fused with Cyber Security and/or IoT.
The student will be assisting Amaris.AI’s Data Scientist in applying the latest cutting-edge AI frameworks to solve industry problems.
Industry problems include the implementation of AI solutions for the automation of processes, cyber security applications, work-flow validation or for edge computing (IoT related applications).
Students should expect to be exposed to the application of computer vision/image AI frameworks, text-based (NLP) frameworks, graph neural networks or a combination of these frameworks to solve these industry problems.
Student job assignment will depend on the projects Amaris.AI has at the time of internship.
Applicants should be familiar with Python.

Learning outcomes:
1. Learn industry's practices and delivery methodology based on the software development life cycle with Agile or Waterfall-based development.
2. Learn Amaris.AI's development implementation of artificial intelligence model cycles.
3. Soft Skills - Practical project development experience, internal and external communication.
4. Technical Skills - Exposure to emerging AI technologies and its application for various use-cases.

Job Scope
1. Explore and research relevant topics based on assignment.
2. Test and improve the latest AI models/frameworks relevant to assignment.
3. Assist in doing a comparative analysis to current models.
4. Develop software components (backend and/or frontend) to allow the usage of the AI models/frameworks.
5. Write technical documentation.

Requirement:
1. Familiar with Python and basic software development.
2. Interest in AI/ML frameworks (e.g. computer vision, NLP, graph neural networks) and their real-world applications.
3. Willing to work on both research and development tasks, including backend/frontend components.
4. Able to follow coding standards, write documentation, and communicate clearly in English.
