Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our Accounts Department. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain valuable experience in accounting procedures and corporate exercises.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable and Payable
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Reconcile discrepancies in financial records.

2. Financial Reporting
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Compile data and generate periodic financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

3. Full Set of Accounts and Month End Closing:
• Handle full set of accounts including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, and reconciling accounts.
• Perform month-end closing activities such as accruals, adjustments, and financial statement preparation.

4. General Ledger Maintenance
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
• Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

5. Bank Reconciliation
• Review and bank reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in forecasting cash needs.

6. Assistance with Audits
• Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Assist auditors in conducting audits and provide necessary support.
• Draft the audited accounts for auditor review.

7. Expense Tracking
• Track and reconcile employee expenses.
• Process expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.

8. Corporate Exercises Support
• Assist in corporate exercises such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring.
• Provide support in due diligence processes and data analysis.

9. Administrative Support
• Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to handle full set of accounts and perform month-end closing activities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
