About the job:

We are currently seeking MLOps Engineer Interns for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about AI and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be managing ML training pipelines, scaling of ML inference and managing iterative releases. This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.

What You’ll Do:
● Build and maintain best practices in training and pre-processing
● Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management systems.
● Test implemented designs and work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
● Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve build and release processes.
● Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
● Develop and maintain documentation and technical specifications for planning and executing deployments.
● Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
● Contribute to the documentation of best practices and technological choices

About You:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
● Experience with AWS and Sagemaker, or an equivalent cloud-based tool
● Experience as a DevOps/MLOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
● Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, ECS, EC2, Sagemaker), and experience would be valuable.
● Strong knowledge of building networks in AWS, working with VPCs, Load Balancers, and related components to handle outside connections and ensure security.
● Knowledge of Cloud Computing and building Cloud Architecture would be a valuable asset.
● Knowledge of Linux-based systems, have a good understanding of working with the Linux terminal.
● Experience working with application containers/images such as Docker. This includes building, deploying, and testing.
● Strong will to learn independently and solve challenges in areas you might not be familiar with.
● Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
● Working knowledge of databases and SQLProblem-solving attitude and team spirit
● Experience with systems and IT operations, particularly with automation and monitoring tools
● Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
● Solid written and verbal communication skills
● Eagerness to innovate and challenge the convention in the field of DevOps/MLOps engineering
● Experience using Notion

This is a full-time, paid internship with a minimum commitment of 3 months (520 hours). We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same. With flexibility comes increased responsibility to this and will require a higher concentrated effort in order to be current with projects, align with your team and to extract the value this internship is engineered to award. The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
