About the job:

We are currently seeking Scrum Master Interns for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about AI and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be guiding teams through the Agile process and are skilled in facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.

What You’ll Do:
● Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospective meetings
● Foster an environment where the team can be effective and address team dynamics
● Ensure a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team
● Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions and remove impediments
● Guide the team to improve their processes and practices in line with Agile/Scrum principles
● Promote self-organization and cross-functionality within the team.
● Experience using Notion

About You:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
● Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent
● Proven experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory
● Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
● Excellent communication and mentoring skills
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
● Solid written and verbal communication skills
● Eagerness to innovate and challenge the conventional in the field of DevOps engineering

This is a full-time, paid internship with a minimum commitment of 3 months (520 hours). We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same. With flexibility comes increased responsibility to this and will require a higher concentrated effort in order to be current with projects, align with your team and to extract the value this internship is engineered to award. The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
